“Praying for People to Believe” - Dr. Doug Melton

  John 11:1-44

  “Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.“

  John 20:30–31

1. Pray with the confidence of Christ.

  “This was according to the eternal purpose that He has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in Him.” 

  Ephesians 3:11–12

  “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

2. Talk with the Father understanding only He is listening and be mindful when others are listening as well.

3. You can thank God even before the answer arrives.

4. Let your actions and your prayers reflect the heart of Christ.
