Galatians 5:19–20

3. “Keeping yourselves from idols” may mean keeping yourself from yourself.

  “Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.“ Colossians 3:5

4. An idol is anything that takes the place in your heart which belongs to God.
