Luke 6:37-38

1. There are some things we are commanded to not do; there are some things we are commanded to do.

“Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come.“

1 Corinthians 16:1–2

“But as you excel in everything — in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you — see that you excel in this act of grace also.“

2 Corinthians 8:7

A. We give because that’s what kingdom love looks like.

B. We give because that’s what a gracious and merciful heart looks like.

2. Giving happens from the inside out.

3. The measure you use will be measured back to you.

Reexamine your giving.

Repent.

Remember all His blessings.

“For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness.“
