“Love That Makes No Sense” - Dr. Doug Melton

  Luke 6:27-36

  Based on the radical difference of who you are, here’s the radical difference of how you are to act.

  Newton’s Third Law of Motion — For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

  There is a prerequisite for obeying this command.

1. The first radical difference is to love with an irrational, illogical, unexplainable, unconditional, inhuman love.

2. Jesus loves you enough to dismiss our feeble attempts to justify ourselves.

  “When He was insulted, He did not insult in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but continued entrusting Himself to Him who judges justly.“

  1 Peter 2:23

3. This radical change hinges on what the Heavenly Father has done for you.

  What God has done for you, do unto others.
